Immense Power, the new definition in the Constitution of Pakistan ..

There is an English word whose interpretation has been clarified by the 27th Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan, it is Immense Power.

If someone asks us, the impudent and impolite, about the meaning of this word, we will have only one answer: “Divine Power” or “Absolute Authority”, which can also be called “ Power of Almighty ” in common parlance.

This Immense Power has been given to a pile of clay through the provisions of the 27th Amendment to the Constitution, as if the Pakistani Parliament has created a huge idol of the modern era with a huge majority, which if not obeyed, even the devil will seek refuge in it. Except for one clause, the devil was also given immense powers, but the Pakistani Parliament has given such powers to its idol that no human being, not even the prophets, could have such powers in the history of eleven thousand years.

Where did this concept of Immense Power come from in Pakistan? The desire for absolute rule in the new Pakistan that came into existence after 1971 was the aspiration of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the first child of the military nursery. After the fall of Dhaka, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto took over the government of Pakistan on December 20, 1971 as the Civilian Chief Martial Law Administrator and President. On April 21, 1972, an interim constitution was promulgated through which the martial law was removed and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto took over the government of Pakistan as the President. He remained in the post of President until August 14, 1973, after which the 1973 constitution was promulgated and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto took over the government of Pakistan as the Prime Minister. The sea of ​​absolute rule was boiling in his heart. He was influenced by the Chinese model, but due to successive political and economic follies and authoritarian behavior, he ended up at the hands of an extremely submissive general. Then, the same general's concept of absolute rule led Pakistan to the day of the consequences of which two generations have suffered and will suffer even more.

The desire for absolute rule was crushed when the sweet pill of democracy, Benazir Bhutto, was introduced, while the slogan of fascism “Awake Punjabi Awake ” continued to be nurtured by the evil slogans of the Punjabism , while the satanic Islamic Democratic Alliance ,IJI and the Strategic Depth Formula of General Hameed Gul continued to fuel the appetite for absolute power of the Sharifs in name only, until another advocate of absolute power, General Pervez Musharraf, emerged and a new history of fascism and evil was created. This was the same General Pervez Musharraf who, keeping his Prime Minister, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, all intelligence agencies and many other corps commanders unaware, carried out a third-class bloody adventure like Kargil and left three and a half thousand military officers and soldiers to die in the icy graveyard at the hands of the Indians and refused to take back their dead bodies except for a few. In order to achieve absolute power, General Pervez Musharraf brought Pakistan to the brink of destruction, however, that era also ended in destruction.

If all these stories are not shortened, several books can be written on each era. However, I will shorten the story and ignore many of the events in between, and the past will come very close.

Now it comes to the point that in January 2017, a young and handsome Major General was appointed DGC in ISI. This Major General was previously commanding the 16th Infantry Division in Pannu Aqil in Sindh. He was Major General Faiz Hameed. He appeared in ISI in January 2017. The position of the DGC in the ISI is such that the servant thinks he is the owner of the entire Pakistan. There is such a comprehensive briefing for the entire ten days that the servant's eyes remain wide open and his limbs are filled with excitement. Detailed briefings and records about the entire country's politicians, industrialists, capitalists, business institutions, banks, stock markets, banks, gold market, money exchangers, drug dealers, land mafias, money launderers, journalists, gambling dens, professional killers, famous saints and shrines, transporters, big hospitals, big shopping malls, big brands, TV channels, FIA, IB, district administration, police, rangers, famous lawyers, judges, religious sectarian groups, foreign embassies, professional call girls, legally declared and hidden foreign spies, smugglers, educational institutions, etc. are available to the DGC. Who does what, where does he come and go, who takes and gives money from whom, what does he eat and drink, who has what hobbies, how many women has he had, which houses, bedrooms and bathrooms have hidden cameras and voice devices installed, where else are they to be installed, millions of photos and voice recordings, etc. 

Apart from this, where and from where are the funds generated that are used in various operations of the ISI, which person in the whole country is generating how much money from his chair and where is he investing it, whose children are studying in which institution, which Pakistani officer has permanent citizenship, which officer is investing domestically and abroad, which officer is to be deployed where and done big work, which small organization is to be funded and made big overnight and used for his own work, the complete history sheet of big businessmen and landlords is at the fingertips of the DGC. If the DGC himself called someone and asked them to do something, that person would be so happy that it was as if the sky had spoken to him. This is a very brief introduction, to explain in detail, a book of at least two thousand pages would be needed. It is a different matter that this book will become a best-seller on the history of Pakistan, but we will have to flee abroad, which we do not want at the moment. In other words, the DGC is a very big cannon.

Before General Faiz Hameed, there was a DGC who played a lot of tricks but did not have any personal agenda. He was Major General Syed Ehtesham Zameer, who broke the PML N  for General Pervez Musharraf for the 2002 general elections and formed the Muslim League-Q, and at the same time, he raised a new faction of the People's Party called the PPP Patriot.

Now we will cover the last ten years, otherwise this story will never end. Now the good news begins on November 29, 2016, when Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, ignoring three senior generals, promoted the relatively junior Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa to the rank of four-star general and nominated him as the Army Chief. Bajwa had previously commanded the Rawalpindi Corps and had spent many years in the Rawalpindi Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel and Brigadier in the past and fulfilled almost all the conditions to become the Army Chief, namely, he was also the Principal Staff Officer at GHQ before becoming the Army Chief. Immediately after becoming the Army Chief, General Bajwa formed a team of his favorite officers, the most important posting was that of Major General Faiz Hameed, who was posted as DGC in the ISI. When General Bajwa was the Corps Commander Rawalpindi from 2013 to 2015, Faiz Hameed, who was a Brigadier at that time, was the Chief of Staff of General Bajwa and during this time he proved to be a trusted officer of General Bajwa. As soon as General Bajwa assumed the office of the Army Chief, he summoned Major General Faiz Hameed to the ISI, who was then commanding a division in Pannu Aqil. When Faiz Hameed took the DGC briefings in Aabpara, a new world was revealed to him because before that, Faiz Hameed had not been on any intelligence posting. General Bajwa had also not been on any intelligence posting in his entire career.

Major General Faiz Hameed told General Bajwa A to Z all the stories he had heard in ISI briefings. Faiz Hameed inherited Project Imran, at that time the in-charge of Project Imran was Colonel Wajid Aziz, who is now DGMI in 2025. General Faiz Hameed took Project Imran into his own hands. It was brought to the attention of General Faiz Hameed that Imran Khan is influenced by a spiritual female figure and often goes to meet her. General Faiz Hameed contacted this spiritual female figure through a close associate of Imran Khan and had a very long meeting, the details of which are not known to anyone, people are just speculating. After this, there were successive meetings but the details are not known to anyone. It is only known that in 2017, General Faiz Hameed and this spiritual female figure had one-on-one meetings about sixteen times. People only speculate about what was agreed upon in these meetings, but a long meeting was held between General Faiz Hameed and Imran Khan on August 16, 2017 at the house of Dr. Arif Alvi in Karachi. This was also a one-on-one meeting. Dr. Arif Alvi was only present at the dinner. No one knows whether General Bajwa was aware of all these meetings or not.

That was a very turbulent year. On July 28, 2017, the Supreme Court declared Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif incompetent in the Panama Papers case and ended his government. On which Nawaz Sharif still asks why he was expelled?

Then came February 2018, on the 18th of which Imran Khan and spiritual woman Bushra Bibi got married, the announcement of which created a stir.

Then the 2018 elections were held on July 25, in which Imran Khan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf emerged as the largest party by winning 117 seats.   There was a lot of rigging in the general elections of 2018, but this rigging was against Tehreek-e-Insaaf that more than forty of its candidates were defeated by changing the results! Anyone can say that it is a strange thing, sir, the military establishment of that time did not want to let Tehreek-e-Insaf win with a clear majority. Needed Tehreek-e-Insaf was the largest party in the assembly, but the goal of government formation was still far away. Then Major General Faiz Hameed came into action and grabbed more than two dozen independent members including the Q-League, MQM, BAP Party, etc. by the seat. Major General Faiz Hameed threw the bani gala at the feet of Imran Khan, thus Imran Khan was made Prime Minister with a simple majority.

When the confidence vote in the assembly came, Imran Khan was made the regular Prime Minister by getting 178 votes. It is possible that “made the Prime Minister” may have been too much for some readers, but this is the reality. Only they can tell what kind of leaps Major General Faiz Hameed must have taken to convince 60 members of the assembly, who belonged to different parties, including more than two dozen independent members, to support Imran Khan. However, it has been learned that four brigadiers and four sector commanders of the ISI worked day and night and Faiz Hameed’s hotline was ringing round the clock.

As a reward for accomplishing this feat, Major General Faiz Hameed was promoted to Lieutenant General in April 2019 and appointed Adjutant General in GHQ. Posting in GHQ means that a person crosses the first step of becoming the Army Chief. Now Faiz Hameed had become a Lieutenant General, he spent only three months in GHQ and General Bajwa appointed him DG ISI on June 17, 2019, replacing Lieutenant General Asim Munir. While Lieutenant General Asim Munir was posted as the commander of Gujranwala Corps, where Asim Munir commanded the Corps until October 2021, from there Asim Munir was appointed Quartermaster General in GHQ. Well, this mention came up recently.

Our topic is currently General Faiz Hameed. When Faiz Hameed took over the post of DGI, there were only five months and twelve days left for the retirement of Army Chief General Bajwa.

Now a new drama began because Imran Khan wanted to make a new Army Chief in November 2019 after the retirement of General Bajwa. I will explain why he wanted it and whose pressure or request it was later. The problem was that to become Army Chief, it is mandatory that a person has held a Corps Command, which Faiz Hameed did not do and he was a staff officer in GHQ for only three months. Faiz Hameed was not suitable for the Army Chief at that time. So, the decision was made between General Bajwa, General Faiz Hameed and Imran Khan that instead of taking the risk of a new Army Chief, General Bajwa should be given an extension.

Whether it is considered a virtue or a flaw of General Bajwa, he used to entertain journalists, colorful anchors, etc. in the evenings two or three times a week. Since General Bajwa was suffering from the psychological disease of excessive talking, he would share the disinformation provided by General Faiz Hameed with these people without hesitation. You can guess that when the Army Chief says something, everyone takes it very seriously. General Bajwa used to tell those he met how he paved the way for bringing Imran Khan to power, Imran Khan has no talent, that is why he has inducted various technocrats into the Imran Khan government, Imran Khan cannot even ask for money from anyone, I have to go to the Saudis, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and China to ask for dollars, Imran Khan is under the influence of magic, etc. The words that come out of his mouth tend to fly. These words also reached Imran Khan, but also reached the First Lady Bushra Bibi.

When the Imran Khan government wanted to give General Bajwa a three-year extension, the Supreme Court gave him very tough time and raised many if and buts. On this occasion, General Faiz Hameed once tied the PPP and PML-N MPs with ropes and brought it to the parliament to pass a bill for General Bajwa’s extension. Thus, General Bajwa got another three-year extension in 2019, which was also stamped by the Supreme Court and Parliament.

Now a new game has begun. Imran Khan wanted to make General Faiz Hameed the Corps Commander of Rawalpindi so that General Faiz Hameed could fulfill the mandatory condition of becoming the Army Chief, that is, commanding the Corps, and when General Bajwa retires in 2022, Faiz Hameed should be made the Army Chief. Apparently, it was logical, but General Bajwa did not like it because the word was spreading in the army that General Faiz Hameed would be the next Army Chief.  Imran Khan told General Bajwa that General Faiz should be allowed to command the Corps for two years and then he would bring him back to the ISI. This entire program was the order of General Faiz Hameed, which was conveyed to Imran Khan through some strong channel.

Now General Bajwa had understood that which mysterious figure was holding the strings of General Faiz Hameed’s desire to achieve “absolute military power” and by what means General Faiz Hameed wanted to put pressure on Imran Khan and command the Corps, so General Bajwa invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to come to GHQ in the name of briefing and that day was the date 24 April 2020. There was a briefing on India, Afghanistan, Iran and more than two dozen uniformed Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers were present there. Only Imran Khan and ISI Chief Lt. General Faiz Hameed were in civilian clothes. There, Imran Khan was explained in a very gentle manner that GHQ would not tolerate any interference in its internal affairs, transfers and postings. This was Imran Khan’s first visit after 29 August 2018.

The Corona epidemic was spreading its havoc in Pakistan, so was death spreading its wings all over the world, business, industry, politics had all disappeared behind masks. All kinds of politics in Pakistan had come to zero in 2020, everyone had to save their lives, people had hidden in their homes.

Then came 2021, and slowly the evil politics in Pakistan had started breathing again. Imran Khan's government was not able to deliver. A new model of corruption in Pakistan's power base Punjab had been introduced in 2019, but this model got a boost in 2021 when huge money started flowing in postings and transfers in Punjab and its inventor was a woman with three to four names who was called the First Lady's special person.  Postings and transfers in Punjab were done extensively during the rule of every ruler of the Sharif family. During the Musharraf era, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was also an expert in this work, but the Sharif family and the Chaudhry family used to buy the loyalty of these government officials through postings and transfers. 

Those governments used to make money in big projects, but during the era of Imran Khan, development work was almost stopped, so the business of making money had also cooled down. For this, following the formula of the mother of invention, the inventor of modern corruption, a woman with many names, started working on the fast track formula and made postings from Patwari to Deputy Commissioners and SHO to DPO in Punjab at a salary of twenty to forty crores, no one was spared.  The Chief Minister of Punjab used to sign dozens of posting files every day, the entire Department of Services and General Administration used to prepare dozens of postings and transfers files every day, and the Secretary of Services and General Administration used to appear before the lady in the Chief Minister's office early in the morning with dozens of posting files. And before lunch, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had already placed his bird on all the files. No one was allowed to interfere in this work, let alone even think about it.  According to a careful estimate, at least more than a hundred government officials were helping the lady in this work, who were busy day and night in making deals and were also earning a lot of money themselves. In addition, there were countless beaters in the police. SHOs openly threatened to put their unpopular officers on the streets. There were dozens of such incidents that SHOs gave twenty to twenty crore rupees for the suspension or transfer of DPOs and patwaris pooled and gave two to two billion rupees for the suspension of tehsildars. The work was being done in a very scientific manner. It was not that all the money went into the lady's pocket, but eighty percent of the money was given to the lady. According to a careful estimate, in Punjab alone, in 2021, there were six and a half hundred big postings and transfers above grade 18. Below this, the number of SHOs, patwaris, gardawars, tehsildars, etc. reaches several thousand, and the real money was earned from them. 

In 2021, Punjab had 41 districts and 156 tehsils, and among them, thousands of patwaris, gurdawars, naib tehsildars, tehsildars, and officials of grade 11 to 17, the lady earned so much money that several large suitcases filled with dollars were taken to Dubai and then to the United States a week before the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan was filed. The lady, Farah Gogi, is determined not to return to the US. Now the lady, Farah Gogi, is not even willing to listen to any calls from Pakistan. It has been heard that in addition to shares in several big companies, the lady has bought two large shopping malls in Massachusetts and has also invested one and a half billion dollars in a large company that manufactures lithium batteries for cars. 

 Ibrahim Maneka, the son of former First Lady Bushra Bibi, met Farah Gogi with great difficulty in November 2022 and demanded his share of the money. Farah Gogi replied in advance that the things in Tosha Khana that you, Zulfi Bukhari and Barrister Shahzad Akbar had sold for millions of dollars, you did not give me a single dollar and I did not ask for it, so why have you come to beg for money like a beggar? Get lost, you dirty beggar.

The year 2021 was a year of great tension between General Bajwa and Prime Minister Imran Khan. According to General Bajwa, the reason was General Faiz Hameed's desire for Immense Power, which the First Lady kept promoting. General Bajwa was also forced to think of alternatives.

In General Bajwa's opinion, it was time to wrap up Project Imran, as Imran Khan was not the solution to the problems, but had become a big problem himself.

General Bajwa initially distanced himself from the Imran Khan government and General Faiz Hameed. General Bajwa himself wanted a safe exit the following year. Talks had started over his own financial affairs, and General Faiz Hameed was taking care of General Bajwa's affairs. In General Bajwa's opinion, General Faiz Hameed, who had a very aggressive temperament, had become such a monster on the throne that if not controlled, the Pakistani army would become a victim of problems and become a "Faiz Hameed Army".  

General Bajwa started looking for a replacement for General Faiz Hameed and Imran Khan. There were about half a dozen replacements for Faiz Hameed in the army, but there was no replacement for Imran Khan. When the search for a replacement for Imran Khan started, it was found that there was no one except the Sharif family, but the GHQ was not happy with Nawaz Sharif from the Sharif family and Shahbaz Sharif was stuck with his half a dozen illnesses and wives. In addition, Nawaz Sharif was not even tolerant of making Shahbaz Sharif the prime minister. He kept considering this offer as a conspiracy of the army against him. Well, General Bajwa first cleared the name of General Faiz Hameed and on November 19, 2021, he saved his life by making him Corps Commander Peshawar and declared himself neutral. General Faiz Hameed stayed there until August 8, 2022. During this time, Imran Khan was overthrown.  Imran Khan grabbed General Bajwa's wrists to save his unpopular government, which was losing its credibility. It is said that Imran Khan even offered General Bajwa a life extension, but when General Bajwa did not listen, Imran Khan resorted to the American cipher and called General Bajwa an American slave, Mir Jafar, Mir Sadiq. It was even said that only a female donkey has neutrality.

In place of General Faiz Hameed, Karachi Corps V Commander Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum was appointed DG ISI. General Nadeem Anjum was not on the intelligence posting and Karachi Corps Commander had barely been there for a year. General Nadeem Anjum had other hobbies. He used to have two quarrelsome wives and many girlfriends. Military intelligence about General Nadeem Anjum was that he was extremely apolitical and only indulged in his hobbies. General Bajwa wanted such a wife as the ISI Chief, but the problem was that the appointment of the ISI Chief was made by the Prime Minister.  Imran Khan was very tactful and did not notify for a week, but when the two met one-on-one due to the intervention of President Arif Alvi, General Nadeem Anjum held Imran Khan’s hand with both his hands for a long time and assured him of his obedience. Then Imran Khan signed General Nadeem Anjum’s notification dated November 20, 2021. The good thing about General Nadeem Anjum was that he kept shaking his head at everything, the effects of last night would linger on his senses for the entire next day. 

Now it is 2022, General Bajwa kept telling everyone, and even in his sleep, he would mutter loudly, “I am neutral, I am neutral.”  Imran Khan's government had already failed. General Faiz Hameed had gone to command the Peshawar Corps. Imran Khan's allies were ready to take flight. It was only a matter of time before the signal was given. Many people tried to save Imran Khan's government, but General Bajwa had his ears covered. However, a no-confidence motion was filed against Imran Khan on March 8, 2022, which, after various kinds of constitutional and judicial ridiculous tricks, was successful in the National Assembly on April 10, 2025 by 174 votes. 

Earlier, on the orders of General Bajwa, the Triple One Brigade arrested the judges at gunpoint and opened the Supreme Court at midnight, suspending President Arif Alvi's decision to dissolve the National Assembly.  Those who say that in early February 2022, General Faiz Hameed had clearly advised Imran Khan to dissolve the assembly from Peshawar, saying that this is the best opportunity to turn the tables on General Bajwa. If Prime Minister Imran Khan exercises his constitutional right and asks the President of Pakistan to dissolve the National Assembly, the assembly will be dissolved and Imran Khan will come to the fray in the new elections with the slogan that there was a coalition government, I did not get a chance to work. If the nation gives me a clear majority, I will be able to work fully in the next term. But Imran Khan did not listen to General Faiz Hameed and, based on mysterious reasons, committed dangerous political follies one after another and ended up in jail.

Now let's go back to the story of General Bajwa and General Faiz Hameed, General Bajwa did not allow General Faiz Hameed to complete even one year of command of Peshawar Corps and within nine months he was transferred as the commander of Bahawalpur Corps on August 8, 2022. General Bajwa had now become a slave of two wishes. First, three more years of extension for himself, secondly, General Faiz Hameed should not be allowed to complete one year in any corps so that General Faiz Hameed could not fulfill the basic conditions of becoming an army chief. The caretaker government, whose Prime Minister was Shehbaz Sharif, had assured General Bajwa of his complete submission, on which ISI and MI were also reporting to General Bajwa that Shahbaz Sharif was ready to give extension to General Bajwa. On the other hand, Mian Nawaz Sharif was not ready to extend General Bajwa, considering General Bajwa as a problem for him. London once became a stronghold of conspiracy and there was a long consultation between Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Safdar, Khawaja Asif, Ishaq Dar in which DGISI Lt. Gen. Nadeem Anjum specially participated. The date was 28 September 2022. In this, Nawaz Sharif was silently listening to the conversation of the participants, Khawaja Asif said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif wants to give an extension of six months to General Bajwa so that he will hold the general elections proposed by GHQ in March 2023 and then the new government will come and install a new army chief. In this meeting, DGI General Nadeem Anjum appeared in a new form and he briefed the participants that General Bajwa does not want three years of extension, but he only wants two more years of respite and wants to hold the elections in 2024. Mian Nawaz Sharif was listening to all this action silently, he only asked who are the senior generals after General Bajwa, on which he was handed over the seniority list along with the details of all. From this, General Nadeem Anjum understood that Mian Nawaz Sharif is not ready to give further extension to General Bajwa and General Nadeem Anjum explained to General Bajwa on his return that he should start farewell meetings. Now the second wish of the Immense Power i.e. General Bajwa's sun was about to set. It is very difficult to guess who drowned one of General Bajwa and General Faiz Hameed. In our opinion, the desire for absolute immense military power  has drowned them both! Both of them had a common habit that these two generals did not read any book except the course of military examinations even Gen Bajwa never read national and international newspapers and periodicals. He depends on routine briefings of illiterate hawaldars of MI.

If I mention all the incidents, this story will not end. 

Anyway, the dream of Immense Power has also come to the current Army Chief and he has been making himself a Field Marshal and now the Chief of Defense Forces after the lame government and he wants some kind of lifelong extension. 

A few days ago, a friend asked who is your favorite military figure? 

My answer was that my favorite military figures after New Pakistan are General Zia-ul-Haq, General Pervez Musharraf and General Faiz Hameed. He was astonished and  started looking at my face with grief , I said that the beauty with which these military generals have exposed the inhuman, immoral and undemocratic ambitions of their institution is why i am their lovers and now it seems that the new Chief of Defense Forces is going to occupy the highest pedestal of my love. 

 The best lesson of history is that no one learns from history.
